The client contacted Window Energy Solutions because a patron suffered a broken glass window injury. This highlighted the fact that some of the glazing on the Concourse, did not meet the Australian Standard AS 1288 for Human Impact Safety.
Window Energy Solutions identified all the sub-standard glazing and applied Armorcoat 100 micron Safety Film. We also applied Armorcoat 100 micron Safety Film in the Medallion Bar on all sub-standard glazing. This is a more cost effective method of bringing the glazing up to standard than replacing the glazing with safety glass.
Optically clear Solar Gard Armorcoat safety films are colourless and non-reflective so they are virtually invisible on your windows. There is no mirror effect or detectable change to the glass surface so your windows look clear, bright and beautiful, day or night.
The resilient layers of high-tensile polyester, aggressive adhesives, ultraviolet inhibitors and scratch-resistant coating provide exceptional impact resistant capabilities.
Not only do these safety films help hold broken shards in place, the ultraviolet inhibitors help protect your merchandise and valuables against fade damage.
