It is well known that glass fragments are one of the main causes of serious injuries in a blast scenario. Through extensive analysis and testing, GK Solutions has recognised that film alone does not usually provide adequate protection in high threat situations. There is no doubt that window film provides a better level of protection than annealed glass alone, but GK Solutions are able to offer several options that can significantly improve your safety and protection through the installation of their specialised system to your existing windows.

The specialised systems will withstand fire and hold the glass in the frame for many minutes. By keeping the shattered glass intact within the frame, and adhering glass fragments to the film, they deter forced entry, reduce injuries from shards of flying glass, and prevent window panes being propelled into interior spaces and causing bodily harm. In live full scale blast testing trials, GK Solutions’ blast-proofing systems have exceeded GSA level C and D blast levels, providing protection up to 29 psi and 203 psi*msec, out-performing competitors anchoring systems.
